I am a Yoga Alliance registered teacher, having completed my initial teacher training in 2015 whilst staying in India. Since then I’ve continued to explore my practice, and increase my knowledge, taking courses in yin, vinyasa, ashtanga, aerial and giving adjustments.
I love supporting people in their yoga journey and creating space for people to develop their practice. In my classes you will find space to grow and explore your practice, find magic in the simplest of stretches and build towards postures that may have seemed daunting or inaccessible in the past.
Variations to postures will be given throughout the class allowing each person to adapt the class to their personal level of yoga practice. I use a mixture of styles and props, alongside breathing techniques and an accessible range of levels for key postures.
Yoga was my starting point in becoming interested in health and wellbeing. It was the first form of exercise I had ever really enjoyed and managed to maintain a commitment to. It felt like a natural fit for me. I enjoyed both the benefits it brought me physically and mentally and how it improved both my strength and flexibility. My practice grew steadily over a number of years until it became a way of life for me and I decided to undertake a teacher training course to improve my personal practice and give me the skills to bring yoga to other people.
You will find my yoga classes informal, friendly and welcoming. While studying and teaching yoga, I’ve enjoyed learning about different people’s individual and unique yoga practices and what their version of yoga brings to them.
I run weekly classes in Exminster & Topsham which can be booked here.
I also offer 1-1 bespoke and standard yoga classes, contact me for more information.
Contact MeYoga has been around for more than 5,000 years, with its roots in ancient India. The word yoga means ‘union’ originating from Sanskrit. The practice of Yoga can help unite the body and mind through postural and breathing exercises resulting in harmony (or union) and a sense of peace and wellbeing.
In the late 1800s and early 1900s yoga masters travelled to the West, teaching their methodology and it gradually became recognised as a form of exercise through which to achieve stillness and equilibrium.
Here you will find answers to most questions asked.
