Yoga Class - Mindful Yoga Flow
Mindful Flowing Yoga: A Yoga Practice for Easing the Body and Calming the Mind
In 2015 I travelled to India to qualify as a yoga teacher and I have been coaching since 2018. I’n 2023 I completed my nutritional therapy diploma with the School of Health. I currently offer 1-1 and group yoga class, wellbeing coaching sessions and nutritional therapy appointments.
I was living a busy life, with lots of personal change and undertaking a demanding role in a busy work environment. Managing my quality of life and wellbeing became increasingly important to me. Sometimes getting it right and sometimes needing something to provide a little help. Over time I realised how important how more naturopathic approaches were to me in getting it right.
A naturopathic approach treats the person as a whole. It looks at everything that is going on with a person, both physically and mentally, the environment that surrounds them and what they are putting into their body. It looks to eliminate and treat the cause of the symptoms, rather than to suppress the symptoms, as in allopathic medicine.
It is a holistic approach that focuses on the entire health and wellbeing of a person. It is characterised by the belief that the parts of something are all inherently connected and explicable only by reference to the whole.
When you look to support someone holistically you don’t just take into account the symptoms of the disease, you take into account a number of different factors. These can be mental, physical, social, nutritional and energetic.
Through studying naturopathic tools and techniques I’ve come to realise wellbeing is complex but critical to happiness, good health and achieving other goals in life. I strongly believe that by addressing wellbeing, life will start to flow better and fall into place more naturally. Bringing increased resilience, improved health, a clear strong mind, together with a strong sense of self and purpose.
There are a wide range of different naturopathic tools, treatments and techniques that can be used holistically and support the body and mind to heal itself to support a person in feeling their best. I set up Holistically Anne Harrison to offer my experience in some of the tools that have helped me the most. These can have great impact when used alone or in combination, they can also support treatments you are having with other naturopathic or holistic practitioners.
