Yoga classes in Exeter, book here

My yoga classes run in themes for five weeks.  This allows for people to put in place adaptions to suit their body and learn the different options of each yoga flow that are right for them. After the five weeks you will find each yoga flow published on my blog, with a free interactive copy.  You will find the yoga class for this theme below.

Yoga class - Spring Detox

As the seasons change and the promise of spring beckons, it's time to embrace a new theme in my yoga classes here in Exeter. This time, our focus is on detoxification—a timely practice as we prepare for the rejuvenating energy of the Spring Equinox.

In naturopathic traditions, the body is viewed as intricately connected to nature, and as the Earth begins its transition towards spring, our bodies naturally follow suit, initiating a process of detoxification. This ancient wisdom teaches us that toxins accumulated within the body can lead to illness and disease if not properly released or addressed.

To support this natural detoxification process, this yoga flow is designed to stimulate the tissues surrounding the organs responsible for detoxification and elimination. By targeting these key areas, we facilitate the movement of toxins, guiding them towards elimination and helping to restore balance within the body.

Energetically, our practice also works with the body's subtle energy systems, including the chakras and meridian lines. By focusing on specific chakras such as the throat, heart, solar plexus, and sacral, as well as corresponding meridians like the lung, small intestine, stomach, kidney, gall bladder, and liver, we support the organs involved in processing and eliminating toxins.

But what does this mean for you? Whether you're feeling sluggish after the winter months or simply seeking to cleanse and revitalise your body, this detoxifying yoga flow offers a gentle yet powerful way to support your overall health and wellbeing.

If you're ready to embark on this journey of renewal and revitalisation, I invite you to explore the interactive yoga flow below. By following along with the yoga sequence, you'll have the opportunity to experience the transformative effects of detoxifying yoga firsthand.

Simply select the "list" and "show cues" settings, and you'll be guided through each pose in real-time. Whether you're practicing at home or joining me in the yoga studio, this yoga flow is accessible to practitioners of all levels.

So, if you're ready to shed the remnants of winter and embrace the fresh energy of spring, I encourage you to give this detoxifying and energising yoga flow a try. Your body will thank you for it, and you'll emerge feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and ready to embrace the vibrant energy of the season ahead.
